Plot summary
After Mars Guo crashes during the Boonta Eve Classic, he reflects on the life choices that made him. He recalls being a slave on Phu, powerless to save his dad from drowning, as well as his trip to a slave auction on Nar Shaddaa, where he purchased the Rodians Pax and Trax Bonkik. Guo, by this point a belligerent drunk, whips his slaves the night before the race. After his loss, both Rodians are sold at another auction and separated.[2]
Three years later, Guo returns to Phu to see the world has joined the Republic and the slavers have been vanished, thanks to his childhood friend, the now-Senator Vean Noon. Guo confides in Noon that he wishes he could still be a symbol for their homeworld; Noon reminds Guo he still has plenty of opportunity to make things right.[2]
Four years after his encounter with Noon, Guo meets with former opponent Teemto Pagalies to discuss reuniting the Bonkik brothers. Guo suggests that Pagalies, who owns Pax, purchases Trax from Sebulba. While initially resistant, Teemto ultimately agrees and reunites the brothers.[2]
