Blurb

Tonin is the King of the Droids. But where did that title come from?[2]

Plot summary

In 44 ABY, Tonin, an R2-series astromech droid and chief operating officer of DonoSlane Excursions, reflects on how he earned the moniker "King of the Droids." Seventy-six years ago, Republic Security Services agent Vyn Narcassan was given orders to surveil the Hutts on Tatooine. To accomplish this, he fitted a DUM-series pit droid with a surveillance module which allowed it to view the viz-feeds of multiple other droids. This droid later becomes Tonin.[2]

Tonin, now in service to Kirney Slane, finds a recording of Slane's mother in his databanks and shares it with her.[2]
