Star Wars ReExpanded:Chroniclers
Chroniclers are responsible for maintaining the integrity of the ReExpanded project. Most of them also serve a double-role as administrators both on the ReExpanded Wiki and Discord server.
How are chroniclers different from normal users?
To put things simply, chroniclers are "housekeepers" for the project. In terms of wiki functionality, the major differences are listed below:
- Permission to delete/undelete pages and files and rollback changes.
- Ability to mark pages as "protected" to prevent unwanted edits/vandalism or redirects.
- Ability to block certain IP addresses or usernames from editing wiki content.
- Marking particularly high-quality edits as "patrolled" to better assist in reverting poor edits.
It is important to disclose that wiki administrators are able to view any user's IP address for the purpose of auditing/patrolling changes. Creating a username hides an IP address only from other users and guests.
What should chroniclers not do?
Chroniclers are not "above the law"; that is, they are little more than typical users with access to a few extra buttons for the purpose of handling site maintenance.
- Chroniclers should not settle editing disputes (i.e., locking pages to their preferred version).
- Chroniclers should not act in "bad faith":
- Do keep the wiki clean of vandalism, spam, and trolling.
- Don't revert the edits of users acting in good faith.
- Do hash out disagreements on article talk pages as normal users are expected to do.
- Don't silence discussion on talk pages due to personal disagreement.
How do I become a chronicler?

Chroniclers are only selected as needed. Shiss, the head of the project, has final say on who becomes a chronicler.
