A'Sharad Hett is an existing Legends character.[1]
Biography
Clone Wars
Hett was sent to Boz Pity as of month 32 ABG, where he joined an assembly an of clone troopers from the surrounding systems, rallying those under Jedi Master Ausar Auset.[2] Despite their numbers, Auset feared that their small number of starships would result in losing more than half of their force during the process of attempting to land on Saleucami and reinforce the Seige of Saleucami.[2]
He requested to join an infiltration team of clones led by Maze in a CR25 Troop Carrier, but Maze pulled rank and insisted that Hett was needed more as a starfighter pilot for the diversionary force.[2]
Order 66
During the Clone Wars, Hett fought against the Separatists and the Bavinyar Defense Force, but he allied with the Bavinyar Avengers following Order 66.[3]
Bavinyar Avengers
During his time with the Avengers, Hett was romantically involved with their leader, Jereveth Syne. He fought with the Avengers at the Battle of Zhar, leading Twin Suns Squadron. After losing one carrier and beginning to flee, he wanted to protect the Defiance from Imperial bombers. However, he was instructed by Jereveth Syne to return to the hanger of the Iconoclast, so that they could escape. Hett was frustrated at not being able to save the lives of those on the Defiance, but obeyed orders, barely making it back in time before the escape into hyperspace.[3]
Hett flew with his squadron at the Battle of Farstine, and he attempted to attack the Eye of Palpatine, during which he telepathically connected with Ameesa Darys, who threatened him. Shortly after, the rebels destroyed their primary target, an Immobilizer-class Cruiser, and Hett joined a successful retreat.[3]
Mission to Belsavis
Afterwards, Hett learned from Hallena Devis a spy employed by their new ally Zozridor Slayke, that the Empire was planning an attack on a Jedi safehouse, and he went with Devis to aid the evacuation. They arrived mid-battle, and he began a dogfight with TIE Fighters over Belsavis. However, he was unable to prevent the descent of Ameesa Darys and Gilad Pellaeon onto the planet.[3]
Hett was eventually shot down and forced to eject into orbit over the planet, during which he saw a vision of Cade Skywalker. He was then rescued by the Scarlet Thranta.[3] From there, he was taken to the Iconoclast. There, he first sensed the life of his child in Jereveth Syne.[3]
Miracle at Bavinyar
Once Octavian Grant began bombarding Syne's homeworld of Bavinyar, Hett aided by overseeing the commandos from Clan Skirata who were going to to hijack the Valediction. With them, he helped take over its climate control center, infecting the air with Rhinacyria that only the hijackers were immune to. He and the others stormed the bridge with little difficulty, but once the ship was secure, they noticed that Gilad Pellaeon and Mynar Vernedet were missing. Thus, Hett went out hunting once again. He helped to kill several clones, as well as Mynar Vernedet, who attempted to sabotage its main reactor core. He then led a venture by Boss, Scorch, and Joc to get revenge on Rede for killing Darman. By this point, he cared little about Jedi ideology and had no problem with revenge. They watched Gilad Pellaeon get away in an escape pod, while captive Hallena Devis was left behind, and the clone succeeded in killing Rede.[3]
Later Galactic Civil War
In 5 ABY, Hett was repairing a droid when he felt the touch of the reborn Palpatine in his mind as a result of Palpatine's use of the Kaan Heptad to submit every darksider in the galaxy to his will.[4]
Powers and Abilities
Hett could use the Force to hide his presence from security cameras.[3]
