Biography
Mission to Mandalore
In 18 BBY, Rede went on a mission with Niner and Darman Skirata to Mandalore. They intended to desert upon rendezvousing with Clan Skirata, and the clones there willingly sent their coordinates to Niner. However Rede was ordered by Roly Melusar secretly at the last minute to relay the Jedi's coordinates to the local garrison, and once they received them, he did so without telling Darman or Niner.[2]
Mission to Farstine
Afterwards, Darman, Niner, and Rede were sent to Farstine, to aid the Eye of Palpatine. After Darman revealed the Jedi's location to the Empire, they went to Belsavis to aid in the Destruction of Plett's Well. However, once he and the commandos arrived, they battle was already over. They were then sent to the Valediction to head to Bavinyar and aid in the Blockade of Bavinyar. He witnessed Niner Skirata shooting a teary Darman Skirata behind locked doors, and he barged in before shooting Niner with a stun bolt.[2]
Mutiny over Bavinyar
The incident, and the Empire's subsequent secrecy about it, led many clones to start a mutiny with help from Clan Skirata and A'Sharad Hett, but Rede remained loyal, guarding Gilad Pellaeon. Pellaeon ordered him to guard the prisoner Hallena Devis in an escape pod and to flee if he could succeed in making the ship self-destruct. Pellaeon could not and instead rejoined Rede at the pods. As they prepared for a getaway, Pellaeon deliberated one last time over what to do with his lover, Devis. Ultimately, he left her behind to be rescued by her allies. Before they could depart, they were attacked by Hett, Boss, Scorch, and Joc, who shot Rede several times, killing him as revenge for Darman.[2]
