Biography
Early Life
Jereveth was raised to be a military leader as part of one of Bavinar's ruling families. She was forced to flee Bavinyar when it was conquered by the Galactic Empire.[1]
Bavinyar Avengers
Syne subsequently became leader of the Bavinyar Avengers and attempted to retake her planet. In 18 BBY, she led her fleet during a costly defeat at the Battle of Zhar. Afterwards, she chastised A'Sharad Hett for not returning to the Iconoclast once it became time to retreat. Despite their differences, the two had become romantically involved.[1]
Syne then planned a bold attack on the Farstine System, hoping to destroy the Empire's only interdictor in the sector. While Vice Admiral Grant did not fall for her feint, he was unprepared for her to get aid from the Sons and Daughters of Freedom, and Grant was forced to command his ship's half-blind due to being stuck on the Eye of Palpatine. Syne took advantage and succeeded in destroying the Immobilizer-class Cruiser. She then led a successful retreat.[1]
Blockade of Bavinyar
In response to her success, Octavian Grant set up a blockade of Bavinyar and began bombarding the planet until Syne surrendered. She considered it, but in the end remained determined to fight, particularly for the sake of her recently conceived daughter.[1]
After 7 hours of bombardments, the Valediction arrived, and Syne sent A'Sharad Hett along with Clan Skirata to sabotage it, with help from clone deserters already inside. Once successful, they sent a message to her, at which point she brought the Iconoclast into the system and offered her surrender to Grant. However, the ship was empty, flown using slave curcuits and only relaying her message. Grant sent two destroyers to intercept it, with one Interdictor trailing behind.[1]
At that point, the Valediction destroyed the Immobilizer-class Cruiser Delayer, and moments, later, the Iconoclast made a break to destroy the Grappler by ramming into it. Her shields barely withheld against fire from the two Venator-class Star Destroyers she was surrounded by, but the damaged ship was able to limp its way to the Grappler and destroy it in the collision.[1]
With both interdictors destroyed, the Chu'unthor arrived in the system along with the ships of the Bavinyar Avengers and the Sons and Daughters of Freedom. Grant chose to keep his ships in place, ahich allowed the Valediction to pave an escape route. Once the Chu'unthor and other civilian vessels escaped into hyperspace, Valediction, Fat Bastard, and Syne's other rebel capital ships quickly fled as well, ending the battle. Grant decided that there was little purpose in bombarding the civilians who were left behind, and he let the survivors be.[1]
Personality and Traits
Syne was pragmatic enough to work with Jedi in order to aid her survival against the Galactic Empire. She knew that she had no hope of surviving or retaking her planet, but she fought on anyway for the sake of revenge.[1]
