The Sons and Daughters of Freedom are an existing Legends faction.[1]
Organization
By 18 BBY, the organization had gained control of a Quasar Fire-class Fleet Carrier and a Recusant-class Destroyer.[2]
History
After Order 66 and the formation of the Galactic Empire, Feedom's Sons fought against the Empire, allying with Aqualish rebels in the Noolian Sector. In 18 BBY, they made an alliance with the Bavinyar Avengers and aided in the Battle of Farstine.[2]
Afterwards, they captured a damaged TIE Fighter. While its pilot knew little according to their interrogation, they were able to identify and replicate its IFF signal which was used to prevent the Eye of Palpatine from shooting at them. This info they shared with Callista Masana and Geith Eris, who used it to board the Eye.[2]
They further aided the cause of the Altisian Jedi by attacking the Valediction over Belsavis during the Destruction of Plett's Well. While they only engaged with it briefly, they provided enough distraction for the children of the Jedi to flee, and they were able to rescue A'Sharad Hett.[2]
They provided a similar role during the Blockade of Bavinyar, engaging Imperial ships after the Iconoclast and Valediction destroyed the two Immobilizer-class Cruisers. Their efforts helped the Chu'unthor to escape Bavinyar with hundreds of thousands of civilians.[2]
