Biography
Kyrimorut
In 18 BBY, Vau went to Keldabe with Kal Skirata and Ordo, where they were blackmailed by Fenn Shysa, who requested info about surviving Jedi.[2]
During the Destruction of Kyrimorut, Vau went with Bardan Jusik and Mij Gilamar to retrieve research that would be needed to replicate the previous work that had been completed on curing clone aging. While Gilamar didn't make it, Vau and Jusik brought the research back to the main compound, and he then fled aboard an Aggressor-class Starfighter with Kom'rk and Prudii Skirata.[2]
Mission to Belsavis
He rendezvoused with the rest of Clan Skirata aboard the Chu'unthor, where they learned about the impending attack on Belsavis, which would kill roughly twenty Jedi children. Vau firmly insisted that it was not their fight.[2]
Despite this, many clones went to Belsavis, and Atin, A'den, Kom'rk, and Prudii were killed helping the younglings escape. Vau resented the situation, but he quickly recovered by refocusing on getting Delta Squad, Darman, and Niner to desert and join them. After Darman learned what happened, he broke down, and the next time Vau contacted them, he heard from Scorch, who explained that of Darman and Niner, one was dead and the other prisoner. Vau nonetheless insisted that they'd rescue the prisoner and help the Deltas escape. Scorch quickly become on board once Vau promised a way to reverse his accelerated aging.[2]
Rescue of Bavinyar
Vau made plans to hijack the Valediction to rescue the clones aboard it, with help from the Bavinyar Avengers. He then spoke to Kal Skirata, who had sequestered himself upon learning of the fatalities on Belsavis. Vau told Kal that of Darman and Niner, one was dead and the other was captured aboard the Valediction. Kal lashed out against Vau, but Vau hit back, forcing him to stand down.[3]
Vau then explained how he was collaborating with the Bavinyar Avengers and the Jedi to help break them out, but Kal was hardened, and said that he wouldn't work the the Jedi anymore, after how much it had cost them on Belsavis. However, Vau convinced him to move on from his self-pity and get the remaining clones home.[3]
He helped to rescue Niner by making a plan to hijack the Valediction. He snuck onboard via Rav Bralor's stealth ship, the Concord Night, then led a group which took the climate control room. There, Dr. Uthan was able to insert canisters of Rhinacyria to sicken the unvaccinated clones on board. Vau then led hijackers up to the bridge of the ship, where they met with little resistance due to the sickened clones. From there, he was able to command the battle, using the Valediction to destroy an Immobilizer-class Cruiser and make way for the evacuating Chu'unthor.[2]
