Kadann
Kadann (not to be confused with the false Kadann Rajah Ubooki) is an existing character from Legends.[1]
Biography
At some point before the Battle of Endor, Kadann had a vision of Nefta attempting to assassinate Palpatine and usurp his throne. When he told Palpatine about it, the Emperor gave Nefta a choice between death and exile; Nefta chose the latter, going into exile on Odacer-Faustin until 5 ABY, when Lumiya and Carnor Jax offered him a chance to take revenge on Kadann.
When Kadann had been exiled himself and was hiding on Bosthirda, he forged an alliance with the Dreaming Vineyard, a sentient plant that covered most of the planet's main continent and whose grapes had psychoactive properties. While some of his fellow Prophets of the Dark Side made regular use of the Vineyard's grapes to enhance their visions, Kadann was increasingly reluctant to enter into a visionary trance. However, when Cronal died at Mindor, Kadann grew worried and looked into the future, where he saw a worrying bottleneck of probabilities.
Shortly after, Grand Admiral Makati arrived in the system and attacked Bosthirda with a bombardment line. Despite a plea to the contrary by the Vineyard, Kadann gave the order to blow up Bosthirda's moon as a defensive measure. The Vineyard destroyed Makati's Torpedo Sphere by throwing its own torpedos back at it, and then delivered Azrakel's ship to the Prophets' temple. When Azrakel leaped out of the ship to attack Kadann, the Vineyard caught Azrakel and immobilized him. Kadann gloated over his former pupil until Azrakel sent his lightsaber flying to cut off Prophet Jedgar's arm. Catching Azrakel's lightsaber out of the air, Kadann held it against Azrakel's throat, telling him to behave. However, the boy Ken, who had stowed away on Azrakel's ship for the trip to Bosthirda, convinced the Vineyard to let go of Azrakel. Azrakel then grabbed his own lightsaber by the blade using the Glove of Darth Vader, wrested it out of Kadann's hands, and beheaded Kadann. Before he died, Kadann burst Azrakel's heart using the Force, ensuring his killer's death.[2]
