Final actions
The Rebel Alliance's Green Squadron was completely destroyed during its attack on the Executor, with the exception of Tycho Celchu (Green Three), who had been assigned to the squadron at short notice and was inside the second Death Star during the squadron's destruction. Celchu formed up with Red Squadron near the Mon Calamari cruiser Serenity instead, defending the cruiser from elements of the 181st Imperial Fighter Wing under the command of General Baron Soontir Fel. Serenity engaged the ISDs Adjudicator and Chimaera, overwhelming the former's defenses and pursuing the latter.
When the Death Star exploded, Grand Admirals Teshik, Makati and Takel were among the last to get away. Makati and Takel fled to the far side of the Sanctuary Moon aboard ISD Steadfast, while Teshik fought a holding action aboard Eleemosynary, allowing many other Imperial ships to escape. After Captain Pellaeon relayed Teshik's order to regroup at Annaj, Ilthmar's Fist was the first capital ship to leave, carrying a heavily injured Admiral Harrsk to safety. Chimaera, Death's Head, and Relentless followed last, Relentless taking on the remaining fighters of the 181st. Eleemosynary engaged in a four-hour slugging match with Alliance forces, until it was overwhelmed and rendered unsalvageable by the Dornean gunships Torktarak and Braha'tok under captains Etahn A'baht and Kiles L'toth, the latter of whom lost his right leg below the knee to a piece of shrapnel when the Braha'tok's command deck was hit.[3]
Aftermath
Three days after the battle, Kiles L'toth had been fitted with a second-rate prosthetic and the two Dornean gunships had been repaired. Grand Admiral Teshik had been captured and was slated for execution. In a meeting with Admirals Ackbar and Nantz aboard Home One, A'baht declared that the Dornean fleet elements would return to Dornea and remain independent for the time being. A'baht and L'toth were shown a recording of Teshik's interrogation, in which he declared that the Alliance's war was only just beginning.[3]
