Biography

Early life

During the trip from Coruscant to Naboo aboard Padmé Amidala's Royal starship, Anakin reflected on his reception by the Jedi Council, realizing that they had seemed to fear him even more than they feared the Sith, and concluding that he did not want to be feared. Qui-Gon Jinn, feeling his unease, approached him and told him there was a darkness in the Force that made the future hard to see, and that he believed Anakin was the Chosen One who was meant to heal that wound. After a moment of fear, Anakin realized that he had previously felt he had a destiny. He also realized that Qui-Gon loved him like his mother had, and Qui-Gon compared their relationship to that between living bodies and midi-chlorians, in that they both needed each other.[2]

Clone Wars

The month-long siege that Anakin participated in and ended by sneaking through the sewers to get into the Old City was the Battle of Deko Neimoidia in 32 ABG.[3]

Post mortem (4 ABY and beyond)

After his death, Obi-Wan Kenobi helped Anakin keep his essence coherent in the Chaos. Together with Kenobi and Yoda, Anakin looked at his children, but was unsettled when Leia could not perceive him. Realizing his story would not be over until he gained Leia's forgiveness as well as Luke's, Vader was distracted by doubts, which allowed Palpatine's spirit to take hold of him, separate him from Obi-Wan and Yoda, and coerce Anakin into feigning allegiance to him.[4]
