Bosthirda is an existing planet from Legends.[1]

History

At some point after the death of Darth Xedrix in 3954 BBY, a vine grew threw his corpse, absorbing some of his dark side powers. The vine eventually grew to cover most of Bosthirda's main continent.

During the New Sith Wars, Bosthirda was used as a shipyard and dock. Darth Nomus staged his Invasion from here.

During the Galactic Civil War, the Prophets of the Dark Side had a temple on Bosthirda, where they had fled from Dromund Kaas after Kadann had predicted the Emperor's death at Endor. By consuming the vine's psychoactive grapes, the Prophets enhanced their visions and were able to communicate with the sentient vine itself.

In 5 ABY, Grand Admiral Makati and the Dark Jedi Azrakel attacked Bosthirda. Makati ordered a Torpedo Sphere to fire on the Prophets' temple, but the vine turned the torpedos back on the attackers. Subsequently, Kadann gave the order to detonate Bosthirda's moon, forming a near-impassable debris field around the planet. When Azrakel and Ken landed on Bosthirda, Ken convinced the vine to abandon the Prophets, allowing Azrakel to kill Kadann. Shortly afterwards, Lumiya and Carnor Jax arrived, killing some of the vine around the temple using defoliator spray and finishing off the rest of the Prophets. The vine, though badly damaged by defoliators and falling debris from the moon, would eventually regrow to conquer the planet again.[2]
