Jedgar
Jedgar (not to be confused with the false Jedgar, Heingort Giddis) is an existing character from Legends.[1]
In the temple of the Prophets of the Dark Side on Bosthirda, Jedgar spent most of his time peering into the future, eating psychoactive grapes from the Dreaming Vineyard to enhance his visions. Because the Supreme Prophet Kadann was reluctant to look into the future after a traumatic experience trying to find out Palpatine's fate after Endor, Jedgar kept him up to date on galactic events and possible futures, including the attempts by several enemies of Kadann to confuse his foresight by killing numerous individuals who claimed or believed to be Kadann. At one point Jedgar also had a vision of Ken on Coruscant, where the rogue Prophet Cronal had planned to put him on the Imperial throne at one point.
When Jedgar saw Cronal's death at the Battle of Mindor in a vision, he and Kadann were both surprised. Before they could find out more, however, Bosthirda was attacked by Grand Admiral Makati, who brought Kadann's former pupil Azrakel. Azrakel's initial attack on Kadann was forestalled by the Dreaming Vineyard, which caught Azrakel and his lightsaber separately; but when the boy Ken, who had stowed away on Azrakel's ship, convinced the Vineyard to let go of Azrakel's lightsaber, Azrakel moved the lightsaber with the Force and cut off Jedgar's arm at the elbow. Jedgar was shocked to see Ken, because he had seen the boy on Coruscant in a vision; his outcry of surprise distracted Kadann enough for Azrakel to behead him. Jedgar attempted to charge Azrakel in retaliation, but he was killed by the newly arrived Lumiya or Carnor Jax before he could reach him.[2]
