Gornash
Gornash is an existing false Prophet of the Dark Side from Legends.[1] In ReExpanded, he has been established as having a true Prophet counterpart as well.[2]
Known activities of the false Gornash
At one point in or before 5 ABY, the false Gornash visited the First Church of the Dark Side on Coruscant, where he revealed to a number of Church of the Dark Side initiates that the Prophets' Prophecies only came true if the right people knew of them.[2]
Under orders from Cronal, who in turn was acting on behalf of the reborn Palpatine, the false Gornash recorded a Prophecy designed to convince Sigit Ranth that he was meant to travel to Kuat and help make the damaged Eclipse hyperspaceworthy. The recording was played to Ranth by Mahd Windcaller inside the First Church of the Dark Side on Coruscant.[2]
In 5 ABY, Gornash was killed by Azrakel on Space Station Scardia alongside most of the other false Prophets. When the false Kadann returned from Yavin IV together with Triclops, they found Gornash and most of the others dead.[2]
Known activites of the true Gornash
By 5 ABY, the true Gornash was hiding on Bosthirda together with most of the other true Prophets of the Dark Side. At some point, Gornash had a vision that Emperor Palpatine had survived the Battle of Endor, which prompted the Supreme Prophet Kadann to investigate the matter, with unclear results. By the time of the Battle of Bosthirda, Gornash was teaching multiple young students in the Prophets' arts, one of whom, Delk, foresaw Grand Admiral Makati's attack a minute before it happened. Kadann then ordered Gornash to bring the acolytes out of the temple to watch the battle. Gornash was eventually killed by Lumiya and Carnor Jax, who arrived on Bosthirda late in the battle to finish off the remaining Prophets.[2]
