Biography
Imprisonment
During his imprisonment in the Kessel mines asylum, Triclops frequently had detailed dreams about novel superweapon designs, which were transmitted to the Empire via the implant in his molar. One of those designs was an upgraded version of the Imperial Leviathan, outfitted with molecular-level recycling factories and controlled by autonomous artificial intelligences, so that they could be sent out to replicate themselves infinitely and devour everything they found. Palpatine ordered Umak Leth to implement the design to create the World Devastators.[3]
Escape from Yavin IV and death
Triclops escaped from the Lost City of the Jedi on Yavin IV together with the false Kadann. Using parts from wrecked starships, among them Anakin Skywalker's Azure Angel, they built a makeshift craft that took them to nearby Krylon by sublight speed. There, some local devotees of the Church of the Dark Side pooled their funds to buy them a new ship.
Kadann and Triclops traveled to Space Station Scardia, where they found all the prophets except the apprentice Locor dead. Soon after, Mammon Hoole arrived at the space station, with Triclops' son Ken a prisoner on his ship. Hoole's intention was to capture Triclops and bring him to Palpatine in addition to Ken, because Palpatine had shown himself fascinated by the fact that a creature made using his genes had been able to father a child. However, Kadann imprisoned Hoole in a cage specifically constructed to hold Shi'ido shapeshifters.
When Ken was freed by Locor and made his way to Kadann's throne room, Triclops implored him not to approach. Immediately afterwards, however, Grand Admiral Makati began his bombardment of Space Station Scardia. Triclops desperately told Ken to get to the hangar bay at the far side of the station; but when Hoole's cage was damaged, the shapeshifter escaped and turned into a rancor to bite Triclops' head off before turning into a large bird to escape the station.[3]
Life as a preserved head
Hoole preserved Triclops' head in a globe after the fashion of the B'omarr monks. To placate Palpatine for letting Ken escape, Hoole sent Triclops' head to Byss, where the Emperor continued to use Triclops' dreams as inspiration for new superweapons.[3]
