Mahd Windcaller
Mahd Windcaller is an existing character from Legends.[1]
Biography
By 5 ABY, Windcaller was the head of the most influential media conglomerate in the Empire. In collaboration with the Cronal, her network produced holodramas such as Luke Skywalker and the Jedi's Revenge and the popular holo series The Jedi Prince. The latter was based on the true exploits of the boy Ken and scripted with input from Cronal's visions of the future.
Windcaller was a member of the Imperial Ruling Council while Ysanne Isard was in control of the Empire. Within the Church of the Dark Side, a front organization for the Prophets of the Dark Side that served the interests of Cronal and Palpatine, Windcaller held the rank of Adept. In this role, she inducted the hyperphysics expert Sigit Ranth into the Church at some point prior to 5 ABY. In the First Church of the Dark Side on Coruscant, Windcaller showed Ranth a transmission from the false Prophet Gornash, who cryptically ordered Ranth to go to Kuat and help make the Eclipse hyperspaceworthy.
When the false Kadann, the nominal head of the Church of the Dark Side, announced his intention to conquer Coruscant in 5 ABY, Windcaller was put under observation by Isard. When rumors spread that Kadann was on Coruscant and had been seen near the First Church of the Dark Side, Isard ordered Tal Ashen, the head of security in the Imperial Palace, to have Windcaller arrested. After the putative Kadann had turned out to be a droid who attacked Isard in the Palace's Grand Corridor as a distraction and was killed by her guards, Windcaller was released.[2]
