Darth Bestia, also known as Mira Wiscz[1], was a Mirialan female Sith Lord active during the New Sith Wars.[2] Initially serving on Darth Ruin's Dark Council, Bestia later became one of the leaders of the Sith Tetrarchy and served as Shadow Hand to Darth Cinder.[1]
Biography
Early life and Darth Ruin
Wiscz's earliest memories were of being abandoned by her mother on Mirial and being sold into slavery on Naturam to the magister Q'as Mopatis.[3] After several years of abuse in Mopatis' court, Wiscz butchered him and his attendants using her latent Force sensitivity and a fish knife.[3][4]
She arrived on Korriban, still covered in blood[4], in 2003 BBY and swiftly entered service to Darth Ruin.[3] She later served on Ruin's Dark Council, and was present with the Dark Lord when he fled Korriban during its fall.[5] Aboard Ruin's flagship, Solipsis, Bestia found herself subject to Ruin's foul temper and unwanted sexual advances.[3]
After the Solipsis docked on Rhen Var, Bestia was first placed in charge of the excavation project.[6] However, Ruin later assigned her to treat with the forces of Mandalore the Unassailable over Malastare in hopes of both brokering an alliance and getting rid of her.[7]
Aboard the Mandalorian flagship Invictus, Bestia was subjected to torture and interrogation in retaliation for Ruin's supposed cowardice.[8] When Darth Cinder arrived aboard, ostensibly to parley herself, Mandalore sent both Cinder and Bestia down to Malastare's surface aboard Basilisk war droids to participate in a hunt for sport.[8] However, the pair instead, working together, defeated Mandalore and his lieutenants before escaping the system.[9][10][11]
Initial travels with Darth Cinder
Cinder and her apprentice, Darth Fell, returned to Nar Shaddaa with Bestia in tow to resolve their dealings with the local ruling Hutt, Durgulla the Fat.[12] However, they arrived at the same time as the forces of Urga Masidii, and were in the Nar Shaddaa Chamber of Commerce when Urga commenced his attack.[13] In the ensuing chaos, Bestia was sent down into Durgulla's beast pit; Cinder quickly followed, though the pair were confronted by a terentatek. With their combined power, the beast was slain.[14] However, as Bestia was unable to prepare herself for the fall, her legs were broken, and Cinder was forced to carry her out of the pits.[15]
As Bestia convalesced aboard The Ashen One, her relationship with Cinder grew more intimate. Later, en route to Rhen Var, Cinder formally named Bestia as her Shadow Hand.[16] Bestia assisted the smuggler Marcus Kregg with navigating to Rhen Var, and, once Cinder and Fell departed to face Darth Ruin, was also tasked with watching over both Kregg and his accomplice, the Nagai Xira Morr.[17] To this end, Bestia fended off her former ally, Eradicus, in a fierce duel that resulted in the loss of part of her left hand.[17]
