IG-124 was a MagnaGuard droid who served General Grievous during the Siege of Selbar. He had blue coating, indicating additional speciality in ranged combat.[1]
Biography
IG-124 was one of three MagnaGuards who was with Grievous in Selbar, but he was the only one to survive a battle with Feeorin Mercenaries who also dealt damage to Grievous.
On the 2nd day of month 16 ABG, the Republic launched their final attack, so Grievous and IG-124 went to focus on guarding the main shield generator in the center of the town, which was attacked by Sadiya Keldon herself alongside two Republic Commandos. Grievous killed the clones, but Sadiya was able to sneak inside of his defenses, engage him and IG-124 in a brief duel, and ultimately set off a bomb to destroy the generator, leaving Selbar undefended. However, she didn't want to be caught in the blast, so she had ordered the Kalpana not to destroy the city center, thus sparing Grievous and IG-124.[2]
Grievous ordered the Separatists to mobilize, and after several clever tactics, they were able to march directly into the Galactic Republic's camp aurek and begin siezing the starships. Grievous led from the front, personally boarding the Micah Giiett alongside IG-124 and a half-dozen Babteer Pil. There, they encountered Nan Latourain, who nearly killed Grievous before she was killed by IG-124.[2]
