―B9-Z4, to General Grievous[1]

B9-Z4 was a droid used by the CIS as a tactical analyst.[1]

Biography

In 14 months ABG, B9 became trapped in Selbar alongside General Grievous during the Battle of Bandomeer. 29 days into the month, he advocated for a large group of Babteer Pil to capture the Feeorin Mercenaries who had infiltrated the town, though Grievous chose to handle it on his own with less involvement from battle droid reinforcements than B9 recommended.[1]

B9 continued to critique Grievous's strategies throughout the conflict on Bandomeer, including discouraging him from leaving Selbar when he tried to assassinate Sadiya Keldon and Kuallue. However, B9 also valued Grievous enough to rescue him once the mission failed. Later in conflict, he was shut down later on in order to preserve power.[1]

B9 was aboard the Demask when the Separatists eventually triumphed, thus allowing him and the rest of Grievous's forces to return to Separatist space.[1]

Personality and Traits

B9 often disagreed with Grievous, seeing him as reckless and overconfident, and was quite vocal about it, much to the annoyance of the cyborg General.[1]

B9 was considered to be one of the best military analyst droids that credits could buy, and it had 4 wheels for locomotion as well as 2 short arms that could plug into Data Terminals.[1] It was painted blue with a Confederacy of Independent Systems logo on its front.[1]
