The Venture was a Lucrehulk-class Battleship that saw use during the Clone Wars at the Battle of Bandomeer.[1]
History
The Venture was stationed at Thomquizzar during the Battle of Bandomeer and was sent to resupply the Separatist position in Selbar. It exited hyperspace close to the planet and descended quickly, allowing it to race through the Republic blockade. Although it sustained some damage and crash-landed in Jedlor Spaceport, it completed its mission, delivering the needed supplies.[1]
Due to its damage, the Venture was cannibalized early in the 15th month ABG. Fuel was siphoned, turbolasers were relocated to act as ground defense, and parts were taken to repair the Demask.[1] The shield generator was also modified to have a wider area, protecting the entire town of Selbar rather than just the ship. This made it a target on the 2nd day of month 16 ABG, when Kuallue and Sadiya Keldon snuck into the town.[1]
The former was dropped off at the spaceport and was quickly able to infiltrate the lower levels of the ship, although he raised an alarm in doing so. However, lower levels lost power, meaning that Kuallue was able to disappear into dark hallways with no security cameras. There were not enough personnel in place to stop Kuallue from walking a long loop around the ship until he ended up below the shield generators. They trapped him while he was climbing through maintenance tubes surrounding the coolant lines. In the ensuing battle, Kuallue inadvertently caused a leak, and then the blaster fire set it on fire, causing massive damage throughout the ship. Kuallue was expected to have died, but he telekinetically pushed the fires away from him to continue his journey in relative safety, although his legs were damaged by blaster fire. He would later also destroy two Droidekas that were defending the shield. After about an hour of sneaking through the ship, Kuallue was able to destroy its shield generators.[1]
