The President of the Department of Punishment is an existing character from Legends.[1]

By 6 ABY, the President had not used his original name for many years, even privately; he exclusively went by "President," including in his own thoughts.[2]

In early 6 ABY, Sarcev Quest convinced the President to compile a dossier on Ysanne Isard to be used against her when the opportunity arose.[3]

Sarcev Quest later programmed a droid guarding the entrance to the President's quarters to tell the President about Palpatine's survival on Byss, planning to watch the President to see if anything happened to him as a result of that knowledge.[2]
