Dark Days is an ongoing novel series written by Mortis. It consists of Zenith, Perihelion, Horizon, Aphelion, and Nadir.
Set at the onset of the New Sith Wars, the series follows the rise of Darth Cinder and her new Sith order amidst a galaxy in the waning days of its golden age.
Series
Zenith
(Main Article: Dark Days I: Zenith)
Zenith follows Cinder, and her apprentice Darth Fell, in their search for her master, Darth Ruin. Ruin's disappearance during the Sack of Korriban raises the question of his fitness to rule the Sith. In reality, Ruin has fled to Rhen Var to unearth an ancient being who promises power beyond measure. Heavy is the price of power, however, and Ruin's reckless pursuit will prove his—and perhaps the galaxy's—undoing.
Perihelion
(Main Article: Dark Days II: Perihelion)
Perihelion, set in the aftermath of Ruin's demise, follows Cinder's efforts to lay the groundwork for her Sith Tetrarchy.
Horizon
(Main Article: Dark Days III: Horizon)
The Galactic Republic, in the waning days of a hundred-year golden age, suffers internally from bloat, incompetence, and corruption and is slowly losing its grip on its frontier colonies. Cinder's Tetrarchy stages barbed attacks along the wall of the Outer Rim with the aim of creating a hole into the Galactic Core.
Meanwhile, a new dark power, known only as the Dark Underlord, threatens the delicate balance of power among the Sith. The Dark Underlord's Black Knights hunt Jedi Lords for sport, leaving sabotaged trade lanes and ravaged worlds in their wake. Cinder is left to uncover his origins and wage a war on multiple fronts: including the one within herself.
Aphelion
(Main Article: Dark Days IV: Aphelion)
After the catastrophic Battle of Uba IV, the galaxy is in turmoil. Supreme Chancellor Crix lies dead outside the Senate rotunda as the Core Worlds riot, The Dark Underlord has severed the eastern edge of the Perlemian Trade Route from the hyperspace lanes, and the Sith Tetrarchy has disintegrated. Betrayed by Darth Fell at Uba IV, Cinder goes into exile on Saleucami as Fell returns to his new master Cronos on Ziost.
Nadir
(Main Article: Dark Days V: Nadir)
A year after the events of Horizon and Aphelion, the galaxy licks its wounds. Nadir sees Cinder reassembling her closest confidants in a last ditch effort to purge the evil she helped unleash.
