Chial, also called Cronos, was a male Sith Lord of the Sith species.[1] Enshrined namelessly in legend as The Shadow Hand, Chial served as right hand and advisor to the last king of the Sith, Hakagram Graush.[2] Fascinated by the power wielded by the Jedi Exiles, he arranged for Graush's deposition by Ajunta Pall in exchange for learning the secrets of the Dark Jedi. Believing him too powerful, Pall had Chial interred in an oubliette and shipped to Rhen Var, where he remained entombed for almost four thousand years.[3]
Later freed by Darth Ruin, Chial's physical body was unbound from his tomb by Darth Cinder.[3] With the assistance of Cinder and her apprentices, Chial reclaimed his redoubt on Ziost and spurred his dormant cult to arms.[4]
