When Ambu Kelborn walks in on Ordo bullying young Boba Fett, Kelborn confronts Kal Skirata on the Null's behaviour and Skirata's own past.

Plot Summary

While on his way to the showers, Ambu Kelborn overhears a scuffle in the refreshers and goes to intervene, thinking it may be fighting clone cadets. Instead, he's horrified to see an older cadet, one he quickly identifies as Ordo holding a younger boy's head in the toilet. Pulling them apart, Kelborn restrains Ordo and is further dismayed to find that the younger boy is in fact Boba Fett and not a cadet as he had thought. Angered, Kelborn begins to beat Ordo, demanding to know why he was bullying a boy who is physically younger and smaller. When Ordo informs Kelborn that it was because Boba said that Jango Fett could beat Kal Skirata in a fight, Kelborn loses control over the pettiness of the attack and brutalises Ordo, momentarily blacking out. Sending Boba back to Jango's quarters, Kelborn picks up Ordo and carries him to Skirata's quarters.

While Mij Gilamar attends to the injured Ordo, Kelborn and Skirata get into another argument, as is typical of them. Skirata is incensed that Kelborn beat Ordo so badly, while Kelborn accuses Skirata of raising and encouraging violent thugs. Skirata attempts to defend himself by saying that he is giving them more affection than he believes the Jedi would show them, only for Kelborn to throw Skirata's words back in his face by revealing he knows the details of how he became a Mandalorian in the first place. Kelborn tells Skirata that he was kidnapped and brainwashed as a child and that while he pities him, he is also disgusted with his behaviour and will not tolerate the Nulls acting out, making it clear that he will kill Ordo if he attacks Boba again.
