Shana was a female Nautolan in service to the Hutts during the early New Sith Wars.[1] Initially a slave for kajidic Kar'kai[1], she was chosen by Durgulla the Fat to be his beastmaster. She later conspired with Clan Masidii to kill Durgulla.[2] In reward for her efforts, Urga Masidii the Elder appointed her as his warden.[3]

Biography

Shana was present at the Forum when the Fat Minister introduced his newest concubine, Ootwyla'nemura.[4]

When Clan Masidii arrived to depose Durgulla, Shana was present on Durgulla's dais.[5] She revealed her allegiance to Masidii by shoving Ooba Vyr into the beast pit.[5] After Durgulla's death, Shana was officially employed by Urga Masidii the Elder as his warden.[3] She later served under Ootono'nemura in the Assassins Guild.[6]

Shana captured the former Mandalorian ensign Lynora Feldt after the latter, accompanied by Shana's guildmate Midge, broke into Urga's palace during a Hutt Cartel convocation.[6] After Midge freed Feldt from the palace prisons, Shana met them in the treasury and attempted to kill them both. In the ensuing, chaotic melee, Shana was impaled upon an armor rack and killed.[7]

Personality and Traits

Unlike most of the members of Durgulla's court, Shana did not succumb to her vices or otherwise grow indolent.[4] Instead, she focused on her physical conditioning and athleticism[4], which she put to use in both her role as Durgulla's beastmaster and as Urga's warden.

Shana was a relative enigma to Marcus Kregg, who knew little of her besides her appearance.[4] Other members of Durgulla's court viewed her with contempt.[8] Bes, the ousted chief of Durgulla's guards, reflected on Shana as "treacherous" and outright advocated for her to be "pushed from the [palace] rafters."[8]
