He went with the group that was filtering Rhinacyria into the ship's air circulation, and once they arrived, Jind was shot and killed. After A'Sharad Hett and Sixer Squad dispatched the clones, Dev and the others three members of Yayax Squad remained guarding the climate control room for the rest of the hijacking, to ensure that Imperials did not do anything to prevent the virus's circulation.[2]
