Taneera

Taneera was a citizen of Byss who lived in the city surrounding the Emperor's Citadel. She was a young woman in 5 ABY, when Palpatine encountered her on a walk through the city. At that point, Taneera's mother had recently died, and Taneera had taken on her name after her death, as was the custom among the citizens of Byss. Palpatine took Taneera and her lover into the Citadel, where he used them to show an assemblage of servants and guests that their life energies were more potent than those of clones. To that end, Palpatine pushed Taneera off a balcony near the tip of the Citadel, and her lover chose his own death by jumping after her.
