Imperial Intelligence
The Imperial Intelligence Service, also called Imperial Intelligence, is an existing organization from Legends.[1]
Palpatine deliberately created three separate Intelligence services (Imperial Intelligence, the Imperial Security Bureau and the Ubiqtorate) whose agendas overlapped, to make sure they would clash violently the moment he was gone and could no longer adjudicate their inevitable disputes.[2]
After the Battle of Endor, Imperial Intelligence fought and eventually won a fierce battle for dominance with its rival organization, the Imperial Security Bureau.[2]
Imperial Intelligence agents such as Colonel Vaartsoon had an emergency parachute worked into the seat of their pants.[2]
Some classified files in the Imperial Intelligence databanks were blood-coded: to access them, approved users would have to provide a fresh blood sample. Data analysis droids such as 2D-X had needles in one finger for drawing blood, but the droids were unaware of this feature unless specifically queried.[2]
