Calocour Ocean
The Calocour Ocean is an original ReExpanded location created by Francesca Pallopides.[1]
Description
The Calocour Ocean was an immense water container spanning numerous levels below the district of Calocour Heights on Coruscant. It was home to more than eighty billion registered sentients from aquatic species, and many more unregistered ones. The Ocean contained over a trillion cubic meters of water and was split into regions of different salinity depending on the needs of the species living there.[1]
History
Over time, cracks formed in the walls of the tank, and the water seeping from them sustained whole ecosystems deeper in the underlevels.
In 5 ABY, the darksider Baddon Fass, with guidance from Ambassador Sa-Di, cracked a load-bearing pillar in the undercity far below the Calocour Ocean. As a result, the foundations on which the Ocean rested settled just enough to break the structure. Within less than an hour, almost the entire volume of the Ocean's contents drained into the underlevels, killing most of the Ocean's inhabitants as well as many sentients in the underlevels.[1]
