The Bureau of Ships and Services, or BoSS, is an existing organization from Legends.[1]

Technological devices sold in the Empire were required to pass a pre-market audit from the BoSS. It was possible to apply for an expedited version of this audit, as Skaz Vynalez and his CTO Kéral did for the gravitational field disruptor.[2]
