Ayy Vida was a dancer working at the Outlander Club prior to the outbreak of the Clone Wars.[1]

Biography

While working as a dancer at the Verpine Roost, Vida was abducted by Uscru crime lord Hat Lo and forced to be his consort.[2] This was solely for appearances, as Lo was averse to both sex and blood.[2]

After spending two years with Lo, Vida was sent to the Outlander Club as a spy.[2] There, she met fellow Twi'lek Lunae Minx; the pair formed a fast friendship and began routinely performing a double-act. Using her separation from Lo to her advantage, Vida enlisted Minx's assistance in the assassination of several members of Lo's gang.[2]

In 22 BBY, Vida was present when Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker pursued Zam Wesell into the Outlander Club. Both she and Minx were approached by the con men Achk Med-Beq and Dannl Faytonni, who attempted to persuade them to buy tickets offworld. Vida, seeing through the ruse, spurned their offer and remained at the Outlander Club.[2]

Personality and traits

Vida, being tall and lithe even by Twi'leki standards, was renowned across the Uscru Entertainment District for her dancing ability. She was lauded by the proprietor of the Verpine Roost as a "star performer."[2] However, her talent attracted the unfortunate attention of the crime lord Hat Lo, who sought a "consort" to complete his image as "King of the Underworld."[2]

She had a carefree and free-spirited attitude while working at the Verpine Roost, though this had been replaced by melancholy by the time she arrived at the Outlander Club.[2] Tas Kee, Hat Lo's enforcer, subjected Vida to regular beatings and verbal abuse in order to instill a sense of fear into her.[2] To avoid the ire of both Kee and Lo, Vida often adopted a ditzy affectation in their presence, much to Lo's annoyance.[2][3]

Vida wore a bodysuit that matched her uniquely mottled skin. Though she initially adopted this approach as a way to attract attention, the bodysuit later doubled as a method to hide the bruises inflicted by Tas Kee's beatings.[2]
