The Tales series is an established Star Wars Legends anthology series.[1]
Background
Conception
The ReExpanded Tales anthologies follow the pattern established by the three anthologies edited by Kevin J. Anderson, which focused on specific scenes from the Original Trilogy. To address "one of the EU's biggest missed opportunities"[2], the ReExpanded Editing Team devised three anthologies based on scenes from the Prequel Trilogy: the Boonta Eve Classic Podrace from The Phantom Menace; the Outlander Club from Attack of the Clones; and the Galaxies Opera House from Revenge of the Sith.
Future
During the interim period between the release of Tales from the Outlander Club and Tales from the Galaxies Opera House, several members of the ReExpanded Discord community pitched proposals for several different anthologies. To gauge community interest, a poll is planned to be held following the release of Tales from the Galaxies Opera House in May 2026. Some community members have already begun work on Tales anthologies of their own; these are subject to further review by the Chroniclers before they are accepted into the ReExpanded continuity.
An anthology based on the Star Wars Holiday Special entitled We Celebrate: Tales on Life Day was pitched in late 2025 and entered pre-production in early 2026.[3]
