Emperor's Citadel
The Emperor's Citadel, also known as the Imperial Citadel, is an existing structure from Legends.[1]
Layout
The Citadel was buried in the crust of Byss at least as deep as it rose into the sky. Its top stories rose above the dense cloud layer that covered Byss during the annual cloud season. In accordance with Imperial safety standards, the Citadel's balconies had no railings.
On the levels aboveground, the chief means of transportation between levels was an open platform rising and sinking through a large hole in the floors on repulsorlifts.[2] The subterranean levels were accessible only via wide, curving stairways, with armored bulkheads protecting the entrance to each level, or through a small private turbolift intended for the Emperor alone.[3]
